PUBLIC NOTICE WILLIAMSBURG CITY COUNCIL The Williamsburg City Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 2:00p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Stryker Center, 412 North Boundary Street, to consider the following: PCR#22-020: The City of Williamsburg has submitted a request to amend the Comprehensive Plan, Future Land Use Map, for property located at 615 Lafayette Street, further identified as Parcel ID: 2913.739.796, from Residential to Public and Semi-Public and to rezone the same from Single-Family Dwelling District (RS-2) to Downtown Business District (B-1). The purpose of the request is to extend the public works yard to accommodate a new police station parking area. SPR# 22-007: The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation has submitted a site plan for the construction of the Colin G. and Nancy N. Campbell Archaeology Center located at 400 South Nassau Street. The construction of the new center will result in the loss of 73 parking spaces on site. The parking area to the south will be restriped to reclaim 18 parking spaces resulting in a total net loss of 54 parking spaces. City Council approved a special use permit on November 10, 2021 that allowed the reduction in parking spaces. In accordance with Article VII. Site Plans, Section 21-177 (b)(3)b, of the Zoning Ordinance, a public hearing must be held for any site plan associated with a special use permit.
