Virginia Department of Transportation Penniman Road (Route 641) Widening Project York County Willingness to Hold a Public Hearing Find out about the proposed widening and addition of curb and gutter and bicycle lanes on Penniman Road (Route 641), as well as the approximate 400-foot realignment of the Penniman Road intersection with Government Road into a 90 degree intersection. The project limits are from 0.01 miles west of Fillmore Drive to 0.05 miles east of Alexander Lee Parkway, for a total project length of approximately 0.3 miles. Please call ahead to ensure the availability of appropriate personnel to answer your questions. If your concerns cannot be satisfied, VDOT is willing to hold a design public hearing You may request that a public hearing be held by sending a written request to Ken McKinna, PE., Project Manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 7511 Burbage Drive, Suffolk, VA 23435 on or prior to November 21, 2018.
