Ice-7owne MEDICAL & DENTAL CENTER to The Community On behalf of the patients and staff of Olde Towne Medical & Dental Center we are writing to thank you, our local community. for your generous and much needed financial and volunteer support for the past fiscal year of June 2017-July 2018. We also received financial assistance from the Williamsburg Health Foundation, Virginia Health Care Foundation, Virginia Community Healthcare Association, James City County. York County. the City of Williamsburg and Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center Because of you, 4,832 uninsured and underinsured patients received 15,745 clinic visits, of which 24% were for much needed dental services. In addition to primary medical and dental care, prenatal care and HIVAIDS management, we were also able to provide consult services in cardiology, gynecology, nephrology, psychiatry, internal and sports medicine. The James City Lions Club helped us to expand our eye service, and we now provide our uninsured patients with free glasses. While over 90% of our patients work, more than 36% are at or below the federal poverty level, and over 56% below 200%. Our medication assistance program provided 925 patients with 5.565 prescriptions for free brand name medications worth nearly $7 million dollars, and we also provided 559 patients with 5.694 generic medications at no cost to patients. This September we will celebrate Olde Townes 25th Anniversary, commemorating the past, the present and the future of local people helping local people.
