OFFICIAL VOTING INFORMATION - NEW KENT COUNTY The Constitution of Virginia requires that you be registered in the precinct in which you live, in order to be qualified to vote. The New Kent County Voter Registration Office located in the Health & Human Services Building at 7911 Courthouse Way, Suite 400, New Kent, is open each week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Early voting began on Friday January 19, 2024 for the March 5, 2024 Dual Presidential Primary Election and is held in the large conference room in the Health and Human Services Building. Before you are given a ballot for the Dual Presidential Primary Election, you must declare in which election you want to cast your ballot; Democrat or Republican. The final day to register in order to vote in the March 05, 2024 Dual Presidential Primary Election is February 12, 2024 5:00 p.m. in the office and 11:59 pm on line. The last day to request an absentee application for a ballot to be mailed is February 23, 2024 by 5 p.m. The office will be open on Saturday, February 24, 2024 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of in person voting. Saturday, March 2, 2024 is the last day for in-person early voting at the Registrar's office, from 9-5 p.m. All requests for reasonable accommodations due to a disability should be made to the Registrar with at least a 24-hour notice. All voters must present one of the following acceptable forms of identification when voting. A complete list is also available on the New Kent County website or the Virginia Department of Elections website.
